How Animals Survive in Winter

Program Description: What are some actions nature takes and why to survive winter? We will explore and learn about hibernation, migration and adaptation. Monarchs fly to Mexico, Groundhog goes to bed, and Weasel changes his wardrobe! How do other animals cope with winter’s worst weather. We will spend time indoors discussing and observing mammal pelts, then head outdoors for a trail walk seeking clues; food, shelter, tracks, scat, etc.
