Summer Camp Counselor positions available for Dahlem’s Outdoor Adventure Summer Day Camp 2025.
Summer day camp is based outdoors consisting of nine 1-week themed sessions offered in June, July, and August to children ages 3 to 12 years old. Camp days are filled with activities, hikes, exploring, environmental education, games, crafts, and so much more all spent in the forest, fields, at the ponds, and wandering 5-miles of easy walking trails on Dahlem’s 300 acres of beautiful land. We are always on the go!
Applicants (18+ years) must have experience working with children, enjoy the outdoors, have an interest in and knowledge about nature, eager to learn and teach. This is a great opportunity for teachers and college students who seek a short-term summer job and some spending money.
Weekly earnings will depend on the session. Pay range for half-day sessions (5-days) is $250-$263. Pay range for all-day sessions (5-days) is $500-$525.
Camp staff must attend mandatory camp staff training (receive $150 pay for 1 1/2-day workshop) scheduled for Wednesday June 18, 8:30am-4:30pm and Thursday June 19, 8:30am-12:00pm.
Camp staff must have current/valid First Aid, CPR/AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens certifications. If you need to obtain certification, Dahlem will reimburse your total online course fees up to $70. A copy of your certifications will be required.
